Tablet Setup

What is the Tablet

LumiNodes require cellular service (4G LTE) to transmit data. The tablet is used to extract data from LumiNodes if they are not transmitting data in the field. Data can then be viewed on the tablet and uploaded using an internet connection.

Setting up the Tablet

Select WiFi Network

  • Connect the tablet to an available internet connection or mobile hotspot to enable data uploading.

Temperature Unit

  • Choose whether to display temperature data in Fahrenheit or Celsius.

Timestamp

  • Select how timestamps are displayed:
    • Relative time — shows how long ago data was recorded (e.g., 2 hours ago)
    • Absolute time — shows the exact date and time (e.g., April 20, 2026, 2:30pm)

Timezone

  • Select the timezone used to display data on the tablet.

Note: LumiNodes store data locally when cellular service is unavailable. Once a connection is re-established, the node will automatically back-fill any data that was not transmitted. If cellular service remains unavailable, the tablet can be used to extract data locally and brought to an area with internet service to upload it.
